SVS made Newsweek's list!!
On October 28, 2026, SVS was named to Newsweek's America's Best Online Shops 2027, a ranking Newsweek puts together with the research firm Statista!
Congratulations to everyone at SVS, and I do mean everyone!!
From leadership to the person who might have just started in the last month, it takes an excellent team in a strong ecosystem to achieve something like this. And of course, the products themselves are the key too!
Without the positive user experience, the satisfaction simply couldn't have gotten there. And those products are on a banger of a Black Friday Sale, going on now!
What's on sale
These are the prices on the SVS Black Friday sale page as of October 30, 2026. SVS hasn't posted an end date and some items are likely to sell out before it's over, so if you're on the fence, check the page before you wait.

SVS says the Ultra Evolution Tower, the Nano, and the 5000 R|Evolution subs are at their lowest prices ever.
Not in this sale: the PB-1000 Pro, the PB-3000 R|Evolution (my Goldilocks sub), and the PB-17 Ultra R|Evolution.
The subwoofers: buy two, not one
Two PB-2000 Pro's. That's been my go-to recommendation for years, and the sale makes it easy. Two of them come to $1,999.98, and the extra 5% for ordering two brings that to about $1,900. One PB-5000 is $2,399.99.
The PB-2000 Pro is a 12" ported sub with 550 watts RMS and 1,500+ watts peak, and I measured it down to 14 hertz in my own room. Audibly BOTTOMLESS. Even if they went deeper, you wouldn't be able to hear it!
It's what I chose for the motorhome theater: shocking performance, explosiveness, composure, and depth, in a genuinely attainable package.

Isolation is recommended on wood sub-floors.
Dual matching subwoofers are NOT a luxury audiophile thing, it's how the physics of bass works.
One sub, no matter how big, leaves you with Swiss Cheese Bass: loud spots and dead spots scattered around the room. A second matched sub fills in the holes the first one leaves.
And don't mix and match. If you already own a subwoofer that isn't the same, take it out of the mix and run the new matching pair by themselves.
Ported or sealed? I strongly prefer ported subs. Ported SVS subs sound deeper than their sealed counterparts, and it's a measurable thing. You can also run a ported sub in sealed mode, but it doesn't work the other way around. The SB-2000 Pro is an excellent sealed sub, and it's smaller, but I'd pick the PB-2000 Pro's.
Discomfort with sealed subs? Not everyone experiences this, but if you have a pressure sensation with dual sealed subs, an easy fix is adding 1-2 feet of distance in your AVR/Amp/Receiver settings to just 1 of the subwoofers to slightly offset the timing and relieve the pressure. Ported subs do not need this.
The PB-5000 R|Evolution is a 15" variable-ported sub with 2,000 watts RMS and 5,000+ watts peak. I haven't verified it yet. I'm confident it's a true premium SVS subwoofer, their consistency has never wavered in my experience.
Just know it's very large and very heavy (153.9 lbs), it ships by truck freight on a pallet, and you should measure where it's going before you order. It does come in piano gloss, which would be right at home next to a grand piano. If you go 5000 series, buy two.
If you get 1 due to budget, you've just doubled your budget when you realize you need the second one. But that second one will bring them to life, with amazing impact.
2 PB-2000 Pro's will outperform a single PB-5000, or the PB-17 Ultra for that matter, not because they're superior, but because a single subwoofer cannot break the laws of physics and the standing wave effect, nor flex its muscle without the room distorting your impressions and experience.
Dual PB-2000 Pro's are less expensive, smaller, and deliver an unquestionably superior experience than ANY SINGLE subwoofer. Cleaner, tighter, feeling more bass energy in your chest, and no Swiss Cheese Bass. Instead of 30-40% of the bass being cancelled out, you hear 95%+ of it.
The speakers
Prime Elevation is the Swiss Army knife of the Prime line. It mounts on the wall or the ceiling, or sits on a shelf, angled at you.
That's what makes it great for mixed-use rooms where you can't put speakers where the textbook says. The Prime Elevation is the SVS speaker I recommend to ANYONE who isn't getting the Ultra Elevation. It's perfect for Atmos/DTS:X, surround duties, and even front channels in a low profile setup.
Prime Satellite and Prime Center: I built a Christmas system for my father-in-law with four Prime Satellites, a Prime Center, and dual PB-1000 Pro's. My mother in law really enjoys her music like she never could before, on a daily basis. Using a 90-120 hertz crossover makes the Sats sound MUCH BIGGER, due to the subs filling in the lows.
Prime Pinnacle at $200 off each is the biggest speaker discount in the sale. They're clearly better than the Prime Tower and the original Ultra Bookshelf, noticeably better in every regard.
Prime Bookshelf is part of the same Prime family. I haven't done a dedicated video on it, but I've definitely had lots of experience, and they're a SOLID choice for dual subs systems where budget prevents towers or the Ultra EVO Books.
Ultra Evolution Tower and Ultra Evolution Nano: I haven't reviewed either these on the channel yet, but I need to. The Nano's are AWESOME, versatile speakers that are undervalued and missed. Having had them for months, they've impressed me.
They can basically be seen as an "Ultra Evo Satelite", because of their small form factor, and they can be your entry into the Ultra EVO line with the Diamond Vapor Deposition tweeter. It's not just cool tech, it's a noticeable upgrade. I use them as surrounds now, but I'd have no problem running them on front channels, even with dual PB-17's and 90-120 hertz crossover.
Why buy factory direct
Watching SVS grow from a subwoofer only company into a massive player in the audio field has been so rewarding to watch, and even cooler to be a part of, in my small way. They make going factory direct absolutely worth it, because of the trade-up program and the ecosystem around it, and that even applies to the Black Friday sales and the Outlet sales.
Some products are actually better to get from Amazon or elsewhere because the consumer protections are better. Like my Pixel Phone and Watch on Amazon, (I have Complete Protect). It's the opposite with SVS, in a substantial way. I HIGHLY recommend factory direct if you can.
Here's what you get with the SVS Customer Bill of Rights when you order direct:
- 1-year trade-up. Within a year of buying, you can trade a product in for full credit toward a more expensive, like product, as long as it's in like-new condition with the original box. You pay the freight both ways, which is the only time SVS asks you to ever pay freight. The year starts over every time you trade up, so you can start with two PB-2000 Pro's and work your way up over several years, without trying to sell your gear on Marketplace.
- 60-day price protection. If something you bought goes on sale for less within 60 days, SVS refunds the difference automatically. Buying now doesn't lock you out of a better price later, nor do you have to jump through hoops. Even if you didn't know, you get the refund anyway! Who else does that?!?!
- 45-day in-home trial, with free shipping and free returns.
- 5-year unconditional warranty and lifetime tech support from the SVS Sound Experts.
Buy from a dealer or a marketplace, and you get whatever that seller offers instead. The trade-up works on the SVS Outlet too.
Full disclosure, as an affiliate, I don't see any revenue for trade-ups. The right advice for you often means lost revenue for me, but the correct advice is the correct advice. The links here are my affiliate links, at no extra cost to you, and that's what keeps this site and the channel running.
SVS made Newsweek's list!!
On October 28, 2026, SVS was named to Newsweek's America's Best Online Shops 2027, a ranking Newsweek puts together with the research firm Statista. They looked at more than 9,500 U.S. online shops, scored them on 46 criteria (trust and security, delivery, usability, service, payment, and more), and surveyed over 3,000 shoppers who left more than 24,000 shop reviews.
SVS was one of the 18 highest-scoring shops in Consumer Electronics.
That lines up with how SVS has treated my viewers and me for over a decade: real people answering setup questions, the 45-day trial, and the trade-up.
Plenty of companies make good subwoofers. Very few make owning one this easy.
If you're buying this Black Friday, two PB-2000 Pro's through the sale page is where I'd start.
